Use the 10% RuleI call this "the 10% rule". Whatever you are using, try using 10% less. Chances are, you won't even notice that 10% is missing.

 

Finding Studs in Your WallDid you know that an old and tired electric razor works as a stud finder? I bought a wed/dry electric razor at a garage sale a couple years ago and was not able to refurbish it. Now I put it to use as a stud finder.

Keep a Spray Bottle of Vinegar and Water HandyI keep a spray bottle filled with vinegar and water. I use it after I take a shower by spraying the shower down. I also use it to clean up throughout the house. Sometimes on walls or baseboards, on counters, sinks, and bathroom sinks as well.

How to Save Eating at Restaurants?The one area where I really would like to be able to save money is eating out. So many times I am just too tired to cook in the evening and the two of us ends up by eating at a fast food or similar place. Even though we seem to get the cheaper menu items and never order fries, it does add up. Are there any other ways we can save in this area? -Betty
