Garden Decor With Yard Sale FindsI was going through the unsold items from my yard sale. I found some wooden art frames.
Store Shoes in Their BoxesIf you can get hold of the cardboard boxes shoes are sold in (or you may have kept them anyway), I have heard a tip for taking a photo of each pair and sticking it to the front of the box, then stack the boxes up in an unobtrusive corner.
Wood Cubes for Organizing ShoesI use one of those wood cubes with dividers. They hold up to nine pairs of shoes, but I have found that you can store umbrellas and other things in any sections you don't fill with shoes.
Cheap TapeSave the edges from self-stick postage stamps, edges from around mailing labels, etc. to use as scotch tape where it doesn't matter or doesn't show. You can use this free scotch tape for most paper uses; however, it is best not to put labels on wood (cupboard doors, etc.) because it really does stick. Using the little pieces of labels in this way will cut down on the expense of regular tape.

Plastic Boxes for Organizing ShoesI keep mine in the plastic "shoebox size" Rubbermaid totes. That way I can stack them and easily grab the ones I want. For shoes I don't wear a lot, I keep them stuffed with tissue paper.
Mark Make-Up With Fluorescent Colored DotsBeing nearsighted, I have troubles in my bathroom while trying to find the right makeup. I recently had the bright idea of putting the fluorescent colored dot stickers on my favorite makeup items so I can pick them up immediately without having to go thru each and every colored eyeliner to find the correct one. Hope this helps someone else.

Use a Thinly Sliced Cooking Onion in SaladsInstead of buying expensive salad onions, use very thin slivers from a normal cooking onion and mix in with the other salad ingredients. This gives a mild hint of flavour.
Nicely Cut FlowersTo cut fresh flower stems cleanly, use a pet nail clipper. Simply put the stem through the hole and snip. A perfect cut every time!
