Keeping Your Skin MoistApply creams and lotions to slightly damp skin, even if you have to "sprinkle" on a bit more water, as you dry off quicker in winter. I sometimes just quick-wet my hands to help it along. They go a whole lot further and help seal moisture from the water into the skin.

Rake Your CarpetWith a hairy companion like Kodi, hair can be a real problem for the carpet and vacuum, so before I vacuum I rake the carpet. It's wild how much hair is in the teeth of the rake.
Pets as Gifts?Considering buying little Billy a new pet as a gift? Think again.
Pets are the worst gifts to receive - especially for children.
Unfortunately, many parents think their children can take care of a pet on their own. However, many children lack the responsibility and attention span for a pet.

Shredding Old Gift Wrap For Packing MaterialSave gift wrap; put it through your shredder. Place the shredded gift wrap in two separate bags: one for general gifts and one for Christmas time. These bags can hang on hooks most anywhere until needed for packing, separating items or whatever.
A Quilt for My MomThis is the second quilt I made. For this one I used some of my kids old clothing...most she bought for them :). I cut them into squares and purchased a dark blue sheet for the back. It's a quilt made by her first born with her grandbabies clothes in it.

Trunk With Mothball Smell? We acquired an old trunk that was very musty smelling, after trying several things I got the 'bright' idea of putting moth balls in it! I stored pictures and picture albums in there, and now everything smells like moth balls, oh to have that 'musty' smell back again!
Rotten Tomato In Car?I had a tomato spoil while under the seat of my car (not sure how it got there). After I removed the tomato, there was some juice that had soaked into the carpet. I tried carpet cleaner but couldn't get to the spot. I then tried pouring white vinegar on the area. The vinegar neutralized the smell for the most part, but not completely. And now I have a vinegar smell in the car--not good but better than the rotten tomato. My question - how do I get rid of the vinegar smell and any lingering rotten tomato smell? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking For Bluing?Years ago we use to buy a product called Bluing. It made white clothes brighter and cleaner looking. Have not been able to find it now and really need it. Seems the bras and other whites turn dingy and nothing we have tried will bring the whites back to life. Any one here know where i can find this product again?
