Sausage RollsMix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening as for pie crust. Beat the egg and add to dry ingredients. More milk may be needed to make a soft dough to roll out into about 1/4 inch thickness. Take 2 lbs. pork steak, grind and season.

 

Snowballslace water, salt, and margarine in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until smooth. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well.

 

Kolaches (Poppyseed and Apricot)Pour milk over sugar, salt, and margarine. Stir and let cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. To first mixture add 1 cup flour and beat smooth. Add yeast and stir. Add 3 cups flour and then the eggs, well beaten.

 

Mother's RollsPlace milk, butter, 3 Tbsp. sugar and salt in pan and scald; cool. Dissolve yeast and remaining sugar in water. Allow to foam to top of cup.
