Sweet and Sour Baked OnionsPeel onions; cut a thin slice from tops, and slash cut surfaces of onions with a shallow x. Place onions in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves; pour over onions.

 

Zippy Steak and GravyCombine flour, salt, and pepper in a plastic bag. Add steaks, one at a time; close bag securely, and shake until well coated. Brown steaks on both sides in hot oil. Drain all but 1 tablespoon drippings from pan.
