Sweet and Sour Baked OnionsPeel onions; cut a thin slice from tops, and slash cut surfaces of onions with a shallow x. Place onions in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves; pour over onions.
