Cheesy Cream of Broccoli SoupIn a large saucepan, cook broccoli in 1 cup water. Do not drain. Put milk, cheese cubes, flour and bouillon cubes in blender. Cover and process at "grind".
Rhubarb TorteCrush graham crackers, add sugar and melted margarine (reserve 1/2 cup.) Pat remainder in 9x13 inch pan, bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cook rhubarb, sugar and cornstarch until rhubarb is done.
Bacon Mixed Vegetable SaladMix together all cut vegetables, cheese and bacon. Mix salad dressing, sugar and vinegar. Pour over vegetables and toss. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Cucumber FishesCombine cucumbers and salt and let stand 2 hours. Rinse and drain. Bring vinegar, sugar and water to boil and pour over cucumbers.
Lentil and Italian Sausage StewCook sausage in soup kettle until brown, drain most fat. Grind together carrots, celery, pepper, and onion in food processor, or chop finely. Add to pan. Add broth. water, and lentils.
Favorite NoodlesMix ingredients in order given, adding enough flour to make stiff. Roll on floured surface. Let rest 20 minutes. Cut into strips. Use in soup or casseroles.
Mexican Chocolate TortillaCombine first 3 ingredients in microwave safe dish or bowl and melt; stir to blend. Add vanilla and stir. Use 6 of the tortillas and spread mixture evenly over each to within 1/4 inch of edge.
Waste Paper BasketHave you ever noticed there are some very nice waste paper baskets in the stores. They are so expensive, so I tried to decorate my own: Wrap and glue doily to the top of the basket, glue the fringe of lace around the top then glue the flowers onto the basket, spacing accordingly.
