Gooseberry PieTwo recipes for Gooseberry Pie

 

Butterball Dumplings in Chicken Broth (Soup)Remove crust from bread, and crumble to fine crumbs. Add butter or margarine, salt, egg and pepper. Mix and knead until mixture can be formed into balls (about 30 balls) 3/4 inch in diameter.

 

Captain's Trout FilletsCombine ingredients, except paprika, in a small bowl. Place the fillets in a greased, hinged wire grill or on skewers. Baste fish with sauce and sprinkle with paprika.

 

Chicken and Stuffing CasseroleBoil breasts of chicken in water for 10 minutes. Take out, let cool and then dice the chicken. In one bowl, combine diced chicken, 2 cans of soup, drained sliced water chestnuts, and one cup of milk.

 

Party PizzaBrown sausage and onion. Pour off liquid. Add spices. Turn down heat. Cube cheese and melt in meat mixture. Spread on bread. Bake in 400 degrees F oven for 5-8 minutes.

 

Creamy Cole SlawShred cabbage, carrots and onions. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate.

 

Fresh Garden DipBlend with mixer. Serve with fresh veggies.

 

Healthier Cake Mix CookiesI have used the cake mix recipe for making cookies for a couple of years now. I am always looking to make old recipes healthier. Here is what I have come up with to add fiber and to cut the fat and calories.

I have a few old canning jars in my kitchen window, and I grow new plants in water from clippings of older plants. When it has new roots I plant it in dirt and give a homemade gift that will last a long time.
