Baked Potato SoupRecipes for Baked Potato Soup

 

Dressed-Up GingerbreadPrepare gingerbread according to instructions on package, substituting 1/4 cup orange juice for same quantity of water. Add orange rind, coffee and mace.

 

Baked SauerkrautI'm not usually a fan of sauerkraut, but this is really very good! I like the combination of other ingredients. They blend well and make the taste of the sauerkraut not seem quite so strong.

 

Peppermint Chocolate Peanut Butter CookieTake 4 squares of chocolate, melt 2 minutes. Stir for 2 minutes more or until melted. Add 3 - 4 drops of peppermint. Can add more to the next batch if you want a stronger taste of peppermint.

 

Chicken LasagnaFor people who cannot eat red meat try this: In a saucepan, saute onion and green peppers in butter until tender. Add mushrooms; cook until tender. Remove from heat; stir in soup, milk, pimentos and basil.

 

Pineapple Pork ChopsTrim off fat from chops, place fat in skillet until it sizzles. Add chops, cook 3 minutes on each side. Remove fat and pour off grease.

Reba McEntire's Praline Sweet Potato CasserolePreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease shallow 1 1/2 qt. casserole. In bowl, mash sweet potatoes; stir in granulated sugar, margarine, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and eggs.

Use Netting to Collect LintSo you left a tissue in your shirt or pants pocket and now your "dark load" is covered with bits of white; even happens with light colored loads, but never fear. Buy a yard each of light and dark netting, the cheap stuff, NOT nice tulle. Unfold and toss the appropriate shade in the dryer with your bespeckled load of laundry. It works! Use and reuse the net until it gets soft, then replace with new, stiff net. Give the "old net" to your kids or grand kids for play.
