Apricot Barbecue SauceCombine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Makes 1 3/4 cups.

 

Hot Maple CornbreadSift dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Add maple syrup to melted shortening in saucepan. Gradually stir in eggs; add this mixture to dry ingredients and stir until well blended. Do not beat.

 

Hamburger-Noodle DinnerBrown meat and onion. Stir in remaining ingredients and spoon into casserole dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F until vegetables are tender (about 45 minutes). Or simmer on stove until done.

 

Pineapple Jello SaladDissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Add cold water (or pineapple liquid), lemon juice, and sour cream. Beat gently with egg beater until blended. Pour into freezing tray, freeze 20-30 minutes, or until firm around edge and soft in center.

 

Lemony Mushroom Orzo SoupIn a small saucepan, saute the mushrooms, onions and garlic in oil until tender. Stir in the broth, parsley, thyme and pepper.

 

Oyster StewMelt butter in top of a double boiler. Add the oysters and bring to the boiling point, but do not permit them to boil. Add milk and cream. Continue heating. When the oysters come to the surface the soup is done.

 

Chicken and Mushroom DinnerCut chicken in small pieces. In shallow dish, mix flour, salt and pepper. Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add oil and heat over medium-high heat. Coat both sides of chicken with flour mixture.

 

Cherry Filled White CakeHeat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour 13x9-inch non-stick pan. Carefully mix dry cake mix, cake mix ingredients and pie filling in a large bowl with rubber scraper. Carefully spread mixture in pan.

 

Use a Toothpick to Unclog Soap DispensersIt's easy to remedy this problem, when foam soap or sanitizer soap containers become clogged and squirts all over when you pump. I use a toothpick to run through the rim, taking care to remove all the clogged soap. Works like a charm.
