Fritters CakesI invented this recipe 10 years ago. My kids wanted hot pockets. This is my version. I have been making them ever since. So enjoy, everybody.

 

Stuffed French ToastSaute' onion and sausage in butter in skillet, stirring until sausage is brown and crumbly; drain. Combine with cream cheese, salt, pepper and bacon in bowl; mix well. Cut bread into slices making every other cut to but not through bottom to form pockets.

 

Jalapeno ChickenOil casserole dish and line with tortilla strips; combine all other ingredients, except cheese, and pout 1/2 of mixture over tortillas, repeat, then top with cheese. Refrigerate for 24 hours then bake at 300 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.

 

Fish With Black BeansIn a 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, place fish in chicken broth along with cumin, coriander, chili powder, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper then bring to a boil. Turn off heat, cover, and let rest 5 minutes.

 

Swedish Rye BreadThe smell and taste of fresh baked homemade bread is a special addition to any day.

 

Butterscotch Crunch Coffee CakeSift flour. Add baking powder, salt, and sugar. Beat egg, combine with milk and slightly cooled shortening. Add to flour mixture. Stir only enough to moisten flour.

 

Tossed Salad With PeachesSlice three peaches; set aside. Cut the remaining peach in half; place in a blender. Add the sugar, lemon juice, vinegars and salt; cover and process until blended. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream.

 

Apricot Pecan Brie TartsBake pecans at 350 degrees F in a shallow pan 10 to 15 minutes or until toasted; cool. Remove rind from cheese, cut into 24 cubes, set aside.

 

Lazy SquaresMix together and boil hard for 1 minute the first 3 ingredients. Add the peanut butter and vanilla and beat well.

 

Bag Your Own Groceries to Save Time at HomeI bag my own groceries. I put all the cold stuff together. Canned goods together. Bananas and fruit together, toothpaste and toilet paper together and so on. It's easier to put the groceries away when you get home. You use less bags.

Cut Your Brillo In HalfInstead of using a whole Brillo pad, I cut one in half. It's great if you only need to clean a couple of pots or pans. Instead of wasting a whole pad.
