Snowman JarI decided not to bake homemade items this year because of flu fears. I chose wrapped candy instead, collecting hard candies on sale after Halloween and purchasing a couple of large bags chocolates at Sam's, but I wanted to add a special touch.

Refreezing Leftover Meat Dishes?I made a few meat dishes for a party on Boxing Day in advance. I thawed them in the refrigerator warmed they all again and now I have left overs can I re-freeze these? All have been kept very low in temperature once they cooled. Thanks for your help.

Recycling Dehumidifier Water into My Pool?I have an indoor pool in which I am recycling my dehumidifier water by draining it back to the pool. I've read various postings here about the dangers of drinking the water, but is it a problem introducing it back to a 6000 gallon pool?

 

Reusing Glass Candle Canisters?Is it safe to use the glass canisters which come with candles, as ramekins? This is of course, after the wax residue has been thoroughly cleaned out. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

 

Using It All - Deodorant?Does anyone know how to use or combine that last little bit of deodorant? I have been saving the containers and wonder if I scrape the last bit out of the applicator can it be combined in some way to make one full stick, maybe melting it in some way and letting it dry?

 

Vacuum Sealing Fresh Onions?I have just purchased a food vacuum sealer and I have just tried to seal a heap of sliced fresh onions, but I can't get a good seal on the bag, because it keeps sucking juices from the onions. Does anyone know whether I am doing something wrong here?

 

Aunt Sally's Molasses Ginger Cookies?Does anyone have a recipe for Aunt Sally's cookies? They are a spice, ginger, and molasses cookie that is cut out with a spam can and frosted with a 7-minute cooked frosting. My mom used to make them and we lost the recipe.

 

Young Child Raised By Grandmother Now Lives With Mom?My granddaughter is 2 1/2 years old. She has lived with me since she was born. Her mom worked and was not willing or able to care for her. I was there when she had colic, for her doctor's appointments, and visitations with her dad.

 

Removing Dark Stains from Cotton Sweater?I have a white cotton sweater that must be laid flat to dry. I was searching for a place to lay it and the top of my wicker laundry hamper seemed a perfect spot. Unfortunately, the hamper is darkly stained and that stain is apparently not water proof.
