Homemade Pie CrustThis pie crust is no-fail from my Grandmother, Anna Maude

 

Gooseberry SaladMix the two packages of gelatin with the water, sugar and vinegar. Chill until partially set. Drain the gooseberries, reserving the juice. To the juice, add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups of liquid.

 

Pork Chops and Dressing BakeBrown chops and place in shallow pan. Combine remaining ingredients with pork chop drippings. Add enough water to cover top of pork chops.

 

Sour Cream Gooseberry PieCombine sugar, flour, spices, salt and vanilla with sour cream. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Gently fold in gooseberries. Turn into unbaked pie shell.

 

Raisin Griddle CookiesStir dry ingredients together into bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture is mealy. Beat eggs and then add milk blending the ingredients together. Add egg mixture and raisins to flour mixture.

 

Lemon Pepper Tuna over PastaIt's light, spicy, filling and good for you. Boil the pasta, drain, and toss back into the pot. Keep heat on low. At the same time, using a medium skillet, heat oil and cook peppers and garlic for 1-2 minutes.

 

Sausage Gravy This is a favorite of my husband's, but I must confess, I really don't care for it myself. He loves this over biscuits!

 

Peanutty Squash SoupClean, cube and peel squash. Place squash, broth, apple and onion in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until veggies and apples are tender, about 20 minutes.

 

Ham and Almond Cheese SpreadCombine the cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, chives and Worcestershire in a blender or food processor and blend until barely smooth. Transfer in to a bowl, add ham and almonds and stir until well blended.

Dog Frozen DinnersI freeze frozen dinners made out of oatmeal and hamburger patties cooked with olive oil, for the dogs. So I can supplement their food about twice or three times a week, depending on what meat sales are on.

Cinnamon Sugar ShakerMy grandchildren love to put cinnamon sugar on their toast. So they can easily make it themselves and there is less mess, I keep a salt shaker filled with the mixture by the toaster.
