Super Vegetable SaladCut the florets from broccoli and cauliflower. Wash and drain each thoroughly. Place florets in a large bowl. Add the chopped peppers, then the chopped onions. Place grated sharp cheddar cheese on top.

 

Prayer BarsFor first layer: Melt butter with cocoa over hot water; add powdered sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix together the crumbs, coconut, and nuts. Add to the first mixture, mix well and press into bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Chill.

 

Slow Cooker Zesty MinestroneA yummy full bodied meal when served with crusty bread smothered with unsalted butter and a mixed green salad tossed with a vinaigrette dressing.

 

Chicken Breasts with Wild RicePreheat oven to 400 degrees F. Melt margarine in jelly roll pan in oven. Mix eggs and milk. Measure all dry ingredients into a paper bag.

Hobo BreadPour boiling water over raisins and soda. Add brown sugar, oleo, white sugar,and mix well. Beat eggs, vanilla, and add to mixture and mix. Add flour, mix well. Put dough in 9 (10 ounce) well greased soup cans.

 

Peach MuffinsCream butter and sugar. Add egg and mix. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with milk. Stir in peaches. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees F.

 

Leftover Mexican CasseroleA layered dish of one large flour tortilla with refried beans salsa hamburger with seasonings a layer of cheese and a layer of black beans and rice with corn. Add more meat and cheese with tortilla chips on top.
