Strawberry Upside Down CakeEasy and delicious! Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread crushed strawberries on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan. Evenly sprinkle strawberries with the dry gelatin powder and top with mini marshmallows.
Banana Nut BreadCream butter, sugar, and egg yolks. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt together. Add alternately dry ingredients and milk and bananas. Add vanilla and nuts.
Creamy Chicken SaladMix all together. Garnish with toasted almonds. Serve in lettuce cups of halved avocados.
Chocolate Ting-A-LingsThis is a favorite recipe of Girl Scout Troops everywhere. I don't know where it originated, but I think I've helped the girls make at least a million of them. They are delicious, and very easy to make.
Spicy Pork and Chicken SkewersI like to also skewer and grill 1 inch pieces of green bell peppers alternated with pineapple cubes without any marinade and serve all with basmati rice that is cooked in chicken broth instead of water for this dish.
Savory Chicken Crescent SquaresOpen crescent rolls; make squares out of 2 each triangles. Mix rest of ingredients together and fill squares. Bring all four points to the middle and press dough together.
Strawberry BlossomsRemove stems from berries, forming a flat base. Place berries pointed end up. With sharp knife, carefully slice berry in half vertically through center to within 1/4 inch of base.
Squash SaladEasy to make, uses both zucchini and yellow squash, tastes great, and is wonderful for you!
Bean SoupSoak the beans in water with a pinch of baking soda for at least 2 hours. Rinse beans. Add carrot, celery, and potato to the beans with salt, pepper and onion. Salt to taste.
Fruit Sundae ConesPlace strawberries in a blender container; cover and blend until smooth. Place desired fruit in bowl; gently toss together. Spoon fruit into cones. Drizzle with the strawberry puree.
Old Credit Cards for CleaningI use an old credit card to clean the algae off of the front of the aquarium. Also, I took a watercolor class where the instructor used an old credit card like a squeegee to move paint around.
