Leon SaladI am always curious about the origin of recipes so decided to look this one up too. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this particular recipe originated at La Scala Restaurant in Beverly Hills where I was blessed to dine many times in my youth.
PancakesThis recipe has vinegar instead of baking soda and also has condensed milk in it because I accidentally opened a can. I turned the condensed milk into buttermilk with the vinegar, plus the vinegar makes it fluffy.
Broiled Tuna BunsCombine tune, eggs, mayonnaise, pickled and onion. Arrange on bread or buns. Top with cheese slices to cover. Place under broiler at 350 degrees F for 1-2 minutes.
Butternut Pound Cake and FrostingVery easy to make, very good. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour tube or bundt pan. Beat shortening and sugar until creamy; add eggs, one at a time.
