Weight Watchers Baked Salmon (7 PointsPlus)This an easy and quickly assembled, quick cooking recipe. A weight Watchers Points Plus+. It's also a Low Carb recipe with 0.1 grams of Carbohydrates per fillet!

 

Peas PulaoSoak rice in water 15 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons shortening and fry onion until light brown. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, cardamoms, bay leaves, and cloves; fry for one minute. Add peas and fry for another 5 minutes.

 

Asparagus with Essence of HollandaiseHollandaise sauce is high fat high calorie but I wanted a way to make asparagus have the flavor of it without all the junk. I played around and came up with this simple dressing.

 

Old Fashioned Potato Salad (with a new twist)In at least 1 quart boiling water, in covered saucepan, cook potatoes with 1 tablespoon salt until fork tender, about 2 minutes after coming to a boil. Drain well in colander.

 

Maraschino Cherry Nut BreadBeat eggs, sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder together. Add juice from cherries. Add chopped cherries and nuts. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

 

Lemony Horseradish Sour CreamThe sky is the limit for uses of this recipe but my favorites are, of course, for dipping medium rare beef into or spreading on any type of beef sandwich ;-)

 

Borage and Rosemary WineSteep a rosemary and dried borage leaves in one bottle of white wine for a week or more. Strain through cheese cloth or a paper coffee strainer.

 

Caramel Apple Jam In a large kettle, mix apples, water, and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until apples are soft. Stir in pectin; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugars, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
