Three Layer Coconut-Pineapple CakeThis wonderful Easter was topped by this magic cake that looked so big, but was feather weight. The cake was so light and delicious. There wasn't a sound while everyone ate dessert! Ahhh, just the way I like it! :)

Removing Gorilla Glue from GraniteSoak the spot with Orange Glo. Take a sharp knife and gently scrape away the glue. Wipe off the dried glue and cover area again with the Orange Glo, let sit, and wipe clean.

 

Rocker Soles for Heel Spur ReliefI have also suffered from heel spurs and my solution to the pain and final cure was to wear rocker soled shoes! I found the shoes were such a relief eventually I could wear my regular shoes again!

 

Recycle Silica Gel PacketsI save all those little packets of silica gel. You can find them in purses, shoes, etc. They are used to soak up the moisture. I throw them into a jar and save them and use them to mix into my soil, as they tend to soak up the moisture and slowly release it.

Chewable Sulfur Tablets to Ward off MosquitoesGrowing up with grandparents from "back in the day" was to me an advantage. In the 60's and 70's, as a kid, we children were sent outside to play, whether or not we wanted to. I did not mind, nor did the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes loved me. I was usually bathed in and caked in calamine lotion each night after my bath and stood in front of a fan to dry and try not scratch the bites that covered my little body. Finally, one year I was given a tasty orange chewable tablet daily in the warmer months here in Louisiana. I loved it. Mosquitoes never bothered me again, those many warm seasons ago. My pharmacists of today never heard of this Sulfur chewable. Nor, did they ever admit knowing the positive effects of sulfur against mosquitoes. Unfortunately, this isn't really a tip. It's more of a request. Pharmaceutical companies, please put this sulfur tablet back on the shelf. I'm sure it's quicker and safer than eating a match head or making my own tea. Even at age 50, I'm too eager to go outside to my garden. My grandmother knew what to do for me back then. There are some truths to "old wives tells".

 

Crocheted HangersFor mere pennies, you can have a pretty hanger. This one is for my little girl, but with more mature colors, etc. you could easily make them for adults too. All you need is a basic plastic hanger, yarn of any weight, and something pretty to attach to the neck.
