Garlic Breadsticks from Leftover BreadThe best thing with bread is that when you aren't able to consume all of it you can just transform or upgrade it in any way you want. I have plenty of leftovers from the New Year's eve. I didn't want them to get wasted so here's what I did.

Repurposing a Soda Stream ContainerYears ago, liquid laundry detergents came out with the wonderful cap. You all know the one; it's not only a measuring device but it fits inside and doesn't allow a drip on the outside. One of the best things around.

 

Use Listerine as a Glass CleanerUse Listerine to clean glass. If you haven't tried it you should! I use this on glass, countertops, pet messes, and toilets. It's very inexpensive and all you need is a spray bottle with half Listerine and half water. You can use it liberally on any surface. It will not smear or leave streaks and has a pleasant smell.

 

Solar Lights for Power OutagesWe get our share of power outages and that is usually when my flashlight batteries are dead. I don't feel comfortable lighting lots of candles, so this idea is a good stopgap while waiting for the lights to come back on.

Small Duck Pond with RampMy husband created this neat little pond for our duck, using a mortar mixing tub and scrap wood that we had laying around. It has a frame to hold the tub and a built-in ramp. With only one duck, is it easy to clean and refresh the water.

 

Free Printing at the LibraryNot all libraries have this perk, but mine does. I can use their computer and print 50 cents worth every day. Black and white is 10 cents per page and color is 25 cents. When I need to make a copy of something, I take a picture with my cell phone and email it to myself. I then print it out from their computer. If I used their copy machine, it would be 25 cents per page.
