Buttermilk FallsThe quarantine was getting to me, and I decided to go for a short ride. I live near a dam and nature preserve, and felt confident that it wouldn't be populated. I took a leisurely drive enjoying the beauty of the area, and then I came to the falls. We had quite a bit of rain over the weekend, so there was a lot of water spilling down. Such a beautiful sight.
Natural MandalasMy friend recently made this with her young daughter! It's a great way to get out and explore nature, looking for different colors and textures to incorporate into a natural work of art! You can also use items from home to enhance your design. We would love to see what you create, so please share them here on ThriftyFun!

DIY Hot Cup Sleeve Tea OrganizerDon't use hot cup sleeves? Or do you save hot cup sleeves? You can use them for a tea organizer! Or, apply the same concept using sturdy paper or thin cardboard, cut long strips and fold into a square to make this tea organizer.
Pretty Recycled Pipe Insulation Spring Pouf WreathI made a wreath with poufs last year, but this year it went a step further. It's so much fun to take them apart and redo them into something different.
Spinach Herb and Bean SoupThis is a twist on one of my grandmother's soup recipes. Usually, it's thickened by using a good amount of barley but I did not have any. Instead I used quick cooking oats and leftover rice. It was incredibly good. The great thing about this soup is you can use dried herbs that you have on hand at any time. I keep a bunch in stock just for using in soups and stews. If you'd like to use fresh herbs, multiply the amount of dried herbs by three.

Egg Case Identification?During quarantine I've been very busy in my garden. Because if this, I'm now raising ladybug larvae because I found their eggs in a rose I was trimming. But, now I've found this cocoon on a dying bush. I'm not sure it's viable or beneficial. I don't see any exit holes. I'd love to know what kind of creature is inside. I live near Sacramento, CA.
Hardwood Floor Shows Dog Foot Prints?I have a 15 yr old hardwood floor that was looking very dull. I cleaned and then used Quick Shine. It dried it over night and the next evening I let my dog in (with clean/dry feet) and now it shows paw prints everywhere. I tried the Quick Cleaner and it just dulled the floor and the prints still show. I've tried soapy water with no luck either. Any suggestions?

Identifying Bugs Found Inside a Piano?I picked up a free piano. When I finally started disassembling it I realized I had uninvited guests. The bugs had at one point come together to form like a clump or mound about the size of a dime under a rail that goes across the middle of the entire piano key. It didn't appear to be alive and I thought they had shed their exoskeleton, but may have been dead. There are still ones that are alive.
