Garlic Honey Balsamic SteaksYou can use this marinade on any cut of meat. It tenderizes so well, you could even go for cheaper cuts and have a nice flavourful meal. I cooked this out on the barbecue grill, but you can use a hot pan on the stove, as well.

 

Chicken Potato Egg SaladThis is a wonderful all-in-one type of salad full of chicken, potatoes, and eggs. It's wonderful on its own, rolled in lettuce, or between two pieces of toast. You can use any type of cooked chicken for this. I simply used a can of ground chicken. Pickles can vary in saltiness, so it's best not to add any salt and do a taste test at the end to see if it needs any.

 

Easy Sweet YogurtThis is how yogurt is often made in Vietnam using sweetened condensed milk. I like how subtly sweet it is and my kids adore it. My kids grew up in Vietnam and often miss the yogurt from there so they actually jump for joy when they see me making it. If I buy the Costco pack of Chobani my kids will eat it up in a jiffy but I hate all that plastic waste. I am trying to reduce the amount of plastic that I bring into my house. One way that I can do this is by not buying prepackaged yogurt. I really enjoy making yogurt in the instant pot, you just press the button and go. I make mine in small jars because my kids are more likely to eat it when it is in small grab and go containers.

 

Again with the LidsThe local squrrels love the birdseed I have on the back porch. So much so that they ate into the lid! So, I swapped out the containers, using a metal can with a metal lid.

Identifying Insect Eggs Found on Wood Deck?Yesterday I saw about 30 of these on the railing of my wood deck. At first I thought they were ants carrying crumbs, but after looking closer I only see a small black dot on the bottom. They seemed to be wiggling some. Today I found even more on the back deck and some on my wood front railing. I am not sure what they are or where they came from!

 

Organising a Chest Freezer?I am hoping for a bright idea! My chest freezer is quite large, and has 3 baskets on top. I know I'm disorganised, but I can never find what I want without loads of trouble! I do realise it's my own fault for just hurling things in after a shop! I once put cardboard boxes in the bottom to try and help. It did a bit, but not enough.
