Peeling Bark on a Madrone TreeTo me, one of the most interesting and striking characteristics of madrone trees is the beautiful mahogany colored bark which crazes and then flakes off year round exposing the underlying green bark which will turn brown, then orangish, and finally this deep hue before it sloughs again.

I had given it to an older friend my mother's who was a doll collector. She called it Screaming Polly. She was a pretty doll, over 25 inches high with a hard plastic or vinyl (maybe bisque) with a sweet face, but she was screaming and having a tantrum with clenched fists.

Value of a Vintage Collapsible Wooden Potty Seat?I believe this was my husband's potty chair and he is now 72 years old. It attaches to a toilet seat and is collapsable to about 6 inches high. The label says Sturdi-tot. Could you tell me the value?
Roasted CabbageSome in our family do not like steamed cabbage but they love roasted cabbage. This has become one of our favorite vegetables. Since the weather is cold, I really enjoy cooking in the oven as it helps to heat the house.
Orange Juice Bottle VaseHere is a way to repurpose an orange juice bottle into a vase and bouquet holder. Cut the top of the bottle off about 4 inches or so depending on the size of the bottle. Once cut turn it around life a funnel and insert the flower stems as indicated. It helps the flowers spread out while still being held firmly. Place flowers on top of the vase and enjoy their fragrance ! :)
What Is This Plant?I am wondering what this delightful plant is. A friend of mind gave me a cutting. She had it growing in her bay window. It was trailing with a woody type stem from a pot, and there were clusters of green, like in the picture, spaced out on the woody trailing stalk or stem. The cutting is rooting easily in water, it already has roots after only 1 week from being cut.
1970-1980 Possession Movie?There was a movie about 2 priests saving a young boy from a demon. I remember a church scene where they have him draped in a silk cloth to protect him. I thought Edward Albert was one of the priests but I have looked and looked and can't seem to find it. It's possibly a made for TV movie but it was good and I'd like to see it again.
