My daughter is turning 13 and I don't know what to have the girls do. Also I need to know what else I might need to buy ?
Any suggestions?

Many in our area have been doing 'destination' birthdays, meaning there are always FEED THE HUNGRY CHILDREN food sites, where you bag the meals. The kids who have been involved have said this was much better than having a selfish birthday, and it made a better memory for all those involved. Many times it would be announced at the event that the birthday party was doing this, rather than something else. Talk about COOL! Many others, strangers, etc get to celebrate too with you.
A commitment usually of 2-3 hours, so plan how much time you think. Time goes so fast. You get put at stations with people and conversation flows. Some of these people you may never have in your life again, but they will think about your child giving on her birthday.
I wouldn't really call it a selfish birthday party because I am turning 13 very soon and I help the homeless people to. I just don't do it on my birthday. I like to party on my birthday but also set up campaigns to help the homeless.
Here are a few suggestions for your daughter turning 13:
You could go out and watch a movie/watch one at your house, have pizza and crisps
Have a girly night - spa things - pizza - movie
Do something adventorous - go camping -
Tour the crafts section at WalMart or your local crafts store. They have great kits for anything from making jewelry to spinning pottery To decorating tote bags and t-shirts. And they run around $10 each!
A sleep over with movies and pizza? Chips and pop for snacks. If you are into "spa" things, you could have a spa party and the girls could do each other's hair, give facials, do manicures, etc. What does your daughter like? Get her input on this as most girls have pretty firm ideas about what a "party" should be.
Here are some fun ideas for girls who are turning 13,
a mall party or trip, you can take the girls to the mall and they can buy some things. you can give them money or tell them to bring money, whichever you prefer. Also a movie night is good. Another fun idea is a spa night, it gives the girls a relaxing time with each other and it gives them a chance to talk.
Since the girls are pretty much teenagers, they like freedom to do things on their own. So you should make the party flexible and not too organized, give them the chance to talk and hangout but still have activities planned.
i think u should organize a surprise party with her close friends to see who to invite and what u should get and then throw the surprise party
