Do you have any ideas for a 13th birthday party? Mine is coming up soon.
Alejandra
For my b-day, I am planning just a trip to somewhere far like Six flags, then we all head home and just do some things for the night. Probably like sleepover. Although my parents allowed me to play Spin the bottle, I probably won't. (03/28/2008)

Hey,
You could have an America's Next Top Model party (depends on what country you live in). I had that for my 12th birthday and it was great. It was actually Canada's Next Pre-teen Top Model in the Tropics! We went to the dollar store to buy some cheap hula skirts and we also bought plastic martini glasses with little umbrellas. At the party, we had a fashion show with our bathing suits and hula skirts on. My dad took pictures of the girls being models, and he got them developed during the party.
We also had limbo and my mom taught us a Jamaican dance. Closer to the end of the party, we made the girls design a blank card that has a spot for a picture. We just used markers and stickers. We then handed back the pictures and the girls inserted them into the cards. It was really fun! (03/30/2008)

For my 13th b-day, I'm going to have about 5 or 6 girls over, and have a limo take us to a really fancy restaurant. When we get home, we are going to make tie-dye shirts and beaded necklaces. My sister did that for her 13th b-day, and it was a lot of fun! (04/03/2008)

I always loved the Wizard of Oz, then did a little digging and found out about this musical called Wicked. So I went to go see it and loved it. I themed my birthday party on the musical. In one of the songs they talk about how pink and green looked good together. Pink was for Glinda (the good witch of the North), and green was Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the west) because she has green skin. Anyway I used pink and green for my main colors, I used streamers and filled the goody bags with things like pink and green lip gloss and sun glasses. For fun I dressed up as Elphaba and had my best friend dress up as Glinda and all the rest dressed as people of the Emerald city. Later we all watched the Wizard of Oz. (04/04/2008)

We did the Six Flags water park last year for my daughter's 12th. We invited a few parents to help supervise. We had 6 girls total. It was July. We brought a cooler filled with frozen water bottles (they allow that). We bought everyone lunch at the water park. This party was easy and reasonably priced (look for specials-I think it was only $20 or $25 per person to enter). Good Luck! My daughter and her friends had a blast. (04/12/2008)

I think the fashion show may not be a good idea if you plan on having guys there. If not then it is a super good idea. If you do have boys then you should do contests such as limbo and hula hoops. One thing you absolutely need is a disco ball and a DJ, that should make your party a blast. (04/12/2008)

Well I'm really into dirt bikes and that was what my cake was. I got a huge wooden board and painted it and wrote Julia's birthday party on it. If you're looking for a theme make it something you like such as a hobby or just a color theme. If you're having a boy/girl party don't make the theme too girly, make it something everyone will enjoy. Oh and make sure to have plenty of snacks and music :) (04/15/2008)

Well I'm not sure what you're into, but for my 13th birthday I went to fun junction and played laser light tag. Then when we were done everyone came back to my house and we had a bonfire and camped in the backyard. At first I was just going to stay home and have a girls only party with a chocolate theme, but then I decided to have boys which is where I got the idea to play laser light tag. :] (05/01/2008)

I just turned 13 recently and am having the classic birthday party debate. I have decided to hold my party in the summer so I don't have to worry about 'drama' over who is and isn't invited. Also, I want to invite boys because I hang out with boys a lot. I was thinking of taking a group of people to Dorney Park (an amusement park/water park). I did this two years ago as well, and it was so much fun! I think I might possibly do this again, but invite boys as well and make the party bigger. One of the benefits of this party is you do not have to worry about set-up, clean-up, or entertaining a bunch of 12 and 13 year-olds. Another benefit is I can buy discounted tickets through my township, so it is just as expensive as if I held the party myself, which would be much more difficult. Maybe some of you will enjoy this party as well. I hope this was helpful ! (05/02/2008)

My 13th bday is in about two weeks. I have decided to take ten of my closest friends to an amusement/water park place and it's going to be really fun. On our way back, we're splitting into two teams and going to value village. My name is Rachel so each team has to find an item for every letter of my name. The person who finds all the stuff last has to wear it to dinner. I think it's always fun to have an elaborate party but as long as your with your friends, whatever you do will be fun. Good luck! Last year for my 13th I had a masquerade costume party. It was really good. I had all my friends and we played party games like wink murder. We had a buffet that my mum made, it was really simple and fun. If you're on a tight budget, then do it yourself and get family and friends to help. (05/25/2008)

Last Year for my 12th birthday, I rented a suite at the Crown Plaza and invited about 12 people. After everyone got there we walked over to Olive Garden for dinner (it was across the street) then we watched a movie and went swimming. (05/26/2008)

My birthday is in October, and it is really freezing then. I just decided to have a birthday party in June because I will be able to pass out invitations and it will be very hot (hopefully). Anyway, I am on a really tight budget so I am just going to have a little party at my house.
We have a little house thing in our backyard, so we put a disco ball up and I have an ipod dock so we can blast music (trying not to disturb the neighbors) =] We will have a cookout with chips, pop, maybe subs, or pizza. Oh, and the cake. We will dance and have contests. I am inviting about 15 girls and 8 boys so it will be fun, hopefully. We will have races, and can't forget the presents. (05/31/2008)

I am going to the cinema, then having a big meal, then a chocolate party and a sleepover. Then the day after we are going to the beach. 10 people are coming, it will be great. (06/01/2008)

Okay, you're probably stuck on ideas for your daughter's 13th birthday party if you're on this site. I am a very good party planner and have 13th birthday packages that you are going to LOVE!
Limo party: You've probably heard this before. It's a classic, and one of my client's favorites. A Limo picks you up and you go to a restaurant, water park, or somewhere fun. Then you head back to your house for a sleepover. It's quite interesting, fun, and perfect.
Spa Party: All you do is go to Wal-Mart, pick out LOTS of beauty supplies, and go crazy! Set up a hair station, manicure, pedicure, make-up, facial, etc. Serve spa food and read those silly teen magazines. If you'd like, you can ask your guests to bring a fancy dress then go out to dinner. I've had clients put a spin on it and do all this then go to a restaurant where 30-50 of their friends are and they had a party. It's a cool party and can be as expensive as you want it to be.
Holiday Party: This isn't as popular, but has been a joy among the select few who have chosen it. Pick out 5-7 of your child's favorite Holidays and theme it around those. Make your own Holiday! You can have a feast like Thanksgiving, Stockings for goody-bags to represent Christmas, Costume Dance for Halloween, Give back "Valentines" for Thank-you Cards, etc. Be creative!
Chocolate Party: It's amazing how far a Chocolate Fountain can go. Set one up and give your guests cup-fulls of stuff to put in it. Then give out Gourmet Chocolates for party favors. Even watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, or The Chocolate Touch. (06/05/2008)

My party is in June. I'm doing a hotel party. My friends and I are staying in a suite and are going to do things like paint nails, watch movies, and go swimming. I can't wait! Another idea for other people that I did last year is ice skating. I did that last year, and it was so fun, but it was because everyone I invited knew how to skate. Also, it's fun when it's hot out so you feel like it's winter again when you're inside the rink. (06/09/2008)

For my party I'm doing a bonfire at the beach with boys and girls. We might play some games and we'll have music playing and then all the girls spend the night at my house. We'll have a camp out in tents in my backyard. I'm super excited. (06/21/2008)

I'm turning 13 on August 25th, which is the first day of school this year, so I am going to have my party on the 23rd at a really nice hotel downtown. We'll go to a really popular pizza place in walking distance of the hotel, then use a whole bunch of beauty supplies and go swimming and watch movies. I think it will be really fun! (07/10/2008)

I'm thinking of having a Hollywood Stars party and everyone come dressed as their favorite movie star! I can't decide though. :) (07/12/2008)

Try a 50's or Grease themed party. Invite as many people as you want, rent a big room, and invite your guests to dress up. For girls, pick your closest girl friends out of the invites and dress up as the Pink Ladies, while you dress up as Sandra Dee. For guys, same thing but you dress up as Danny Zucko while your closest friends are the Thunderbirds. Have a sock hop, get old fashioned soda, watch Grease, have a Dance-off like in the movie, and then after have your closest friends sleep over. Tons of FUN! (07/17/2008)
I have an idea, I'm not positive if it is the best but here it is. How about a medieval birthday party? Like from 1200 AD or something. And have the birthday girl be like the queen and everyone else would be her beautiful or handsome villagers. And you could have iced tea instead of real tea with tea cups. Unless you like regular tea. And wear clothing like medieval people, like old dresses and shirts and pants. Have little pastries and donuts and whatever you want to pick as your food. Have a fantastic 13th birthday! (07/18/2008)

I have a couple of ideas for birthday parties. One of the themes I thought of is a fear factor party. Set up different competitions.. but keep them fun. For example: you could have a bucket for each person filled with water, have a couple of medium-large items in there that will be hard to get past. Also, put a gumball at the bottom. Each person has to put their hands behind their backs and only use their mouth to try to get the gumball. The first person to blow a bubble wins! My friend had this challenge at her birthday party and the item she used was real chicken legs. It was gross.. but really fun. You can go with games that are very entertaining.. but maybe not everyone will like (it depends on your guests), or you could use some more simple, but fun games. :) I hope I helped you. (07/23/2008)

For my 12th birthday last year, I invited around ten friends and we rented a gym that is usually used for gymnastics. There were a couple trampolines and some other fun equipment. The instructors taught us some tricks and later on we had cake and pizza. Overall, it was fun and everyone enjoyed it. There is probably a gym like that somewhere near you. The place I went to was called All Star Gymnastics. Hopefully you find a good idea! Good luck :)

Last year for my sister's 13th birthday party, she brought around five friends (boys and girls) and went go karting. It was really fun. Depending on your location you can probably invite more than five. But however many people you wish to invite is up to you. It's really fun and both guys and girls enjoy it. After that, we went home and had pizza and cake. I hope my idea helps. Good luck! (07/23/2008)

For my 13th Birthday I am thinking about having a color theme birthday. That means on everyone's invitation I will assign a color to them, and they will wear a dress or something nice that is the color assigned to them. I will pick them up from their house with a limo, and we will go to a fancy restaurant. (Before I pick the girls up from their houses, my mom will leave her car in front of the restaurant, so that we can drive to the hotel in that.) After that we will go to a hotel and watch movies and hangout all night. In the morning we might go to a little breakfast spot and have breakfast then I will drop them back off at home. (08/12/2008)

I turn thirteen the 29th of November (I know it's a long time away but I'm just so excited). Anyway, I'm thinking of an inside sun and surf party. We will decorate with a sandbox and lots of fun beach towels and a lots of streamers. Then you eat Hawaiian style pizza (ham, pineapple, onion) and drink frozen drinks out of cocktail glasses.
(08/15/2008)
I like the idea of a Hollywood theme. You could have your parents and other relatives as waiters bring in food on round silver plates, or you could have a big posh dinner and then give awards for the best celebrity look alike.

I finally got an idea. I'm going to invite 20 people and make a CD of my favorite music and dance all night in my backyard (it's really big out there). I'm gonna serve pizza and borrow my family friend's chocolate fountain. It really suits me because it doesn't cost that much money on my mum, but it is still pretty fun =D (09/11/2008)

I was thinking about going go karting cause it sounds like fun. Sleepovers are always fun too. And whoever doesn't know what activities to do, here are some fun ones. These can be played with both boys and girls.
1. Water Balloon Volleyball: Get 2 sheets, water balloons, and something to toss these over. All you do is play volleyball with the water balloons. You throw them back and forth using only the sheets.
2. Psychiatrist: You need at least 3 people to play this game. Have one person be the psychiatrist and the other 2 (or more) have a disease. The psychiatrist will try and guess the other people's diseases by asking questions. You can play on teams too. Some diseases: Obsessed with a certain word. Mute. Only says 1 word for every answer. Hates a certain word.
Hope you can use these ideas! They are great for big groups to play! :)

For my birthday party we are going to a hotel with a huge indoor water park. Try great wolf lodge. If not you could invite like 3 friends and go to a spa? (09/21/2008)
How about a Chocolate party with chocolate fountains, hot chocolate and fun games. The game I am going to do is called "What's in your purse?". You make a list of what is normally in a purse. Ask them to bring their purse and whoever has the most items wins a prize. (09/24/2008)

Hey guys. I turn thirteen in December and I have a lot of ideas but don't know which one to do. I think I am doing an all girls party. Here are some ideas:
Hula/Luau party
50's, 60's, 70's, or 80's party
Mall scavenger hunt
If your birthday is in the summer:
Swim party
Backyard bbq
Fashion show party
Chocolate party
Rent a limo and go somewhere. Maybe a nice dinner with friends.
Beach bonfire
Spa party
Laser tag party
Dance party
Masquerade ball/dance
Here are some game ideas for parties:
Fashion game: Buy some cheap t-shirts, buttons, pins, ribbons, and those cool pens that draw on shirts and then your guests can design their own shirt and then model their creation.
What's in your purse: In your invitation, ask your quests to bring their purses. Then make a list of things you might find in a purse. The person who has the most things on the list wins.
Truth or Dare: A classic game: Just make sure no one feels uncomfortable
Song game: Make a CD of songs that you and your friends like. Then play a song and the first person to guess it, wins.
Hope this helped! Have a great birthday! (10/09/2008)

This is what I'm doing: Having a party with another one of my friends because our birthdays are really close together. Anyway, we are having a dance and the theme is pink black and white. Every fifteen minutes during the party we throw out prizes to people such as t-shirts, nerf footballs, etc. We also have glow sticks for everybody as they walk in, and after we are having people over to spend the night. Hope that gave you some ideas! (10/25/2008)

This is for a boy-girl party. Well, sometimes dance parties can get really awkward if you are throwing it so you might want to opt towards something less weird. Ooh, you could go to a water park for the day with your boy friends and girl friends. If it's in the winter you can go sledding or something and do cool stuff outside. In the summer you can really do anything that involves being outside, like going to the beach or something like that. You can also go to a fun restaurant and have dinner. Hope I helped. (12/07/2008)

You could rent a limo to take you and all your friends to a hotel downtown and shop the next day. (12/27/2008)
