14th Birthday Ideas?

My birthday is May 27 and it's coming up fast. I don't know what to do with my 9 friends. I don't want to go to a mall. I just want to stay in the area I'm in. There are many parks and a big indoor space. I also want to have a party at home. But I don't know what to do. I don't want it childish. I am thinking of a picnic, movie, games, and a photo booth, but I want to take it to the next level. Any advice?

Nothing wrong with a birthday party at home. You can have fun at home too! Many parents may even feel safer for their kids to have a party at home!

Check out this article about making your own photo booth stuff at home. My friends did this for a party of theirs and it was a HIT!!! You can make the crafting of the backgrounds and props as part of the party, too!

Have you considered a scavenger hunt? It can be as small or elaborate as you want it to be. The clues can lead you within your home/yard or within the neighborhood. It's a fun way to get everyone involved individually or as teams. You can't go wrong with creative clues and cool prizes. Hope you have fun!

Thrift Shop Party.
It's super cheap for decorations and costumes. Go to a thrift store and shop.

.....or, have your guest bring over a bag with 10 or more items from their closet that they can share and swap

Cover the walls from top to bottom with material and even the ceiling .
I did this for my daughter.
We used flat bed sheets and big pieces of material we got from her grandmother.
We hung white lights all around the border of the room.
Then we took every cute fuzzy blanket and pillow we had and covered the floor and bed with them.
Blew up balloons of two different colors and toss them everywhere .
Look up on ideas.
Game ideas:
Make a toss and talk ball.
Some type of easy craft
Food:
We had a cupcake bar
I cooked the cup cakes then they decorated them.
Set up a area with all kinds of choices of things candy and frosting toppings.

It's gonna be ok! You could have a indoor dance party! It is a great hit for my 15 year old . We made our house look like a disco club from the 80's and treated guests with burgers and milkshakes !
