My daughter is having a birthday and I want to do something special for her. She loves the performing arts and has tons of friends. We would have around 50-75 people at her party, but I want to keep it below $500. Since we are in LA, we don't know where to have her bday party. A selfie booth would be great so the kids could take pictures, but I don't know of any companies that do that. Any ideas/help would be great!

You can make your own selfie booth. If she likes performing arts, why not do a murder mystery where each person (or some of them because you have a large group) do a play and the rest watch?
$500 for 50 people is $10 each,
which is low in the birthday party world. I would see if a pizza place has a private party room and then do some kind of improv acting. The kids would love it.
Try Karaoke. Have a face painter to paint faces like the characters in the musical "Cats." And can you do improv with the kids? Here's how to do improv:
WHat occured to me is, the Academy Awards are coming up soon. If you can time it right, you could have a RED CARPET OSCAR PARTY in your own home, or anybody's accomodating home that had a bit TV. You could rent out a restaurant with TVs for that day, though I honestly don't know how much that would cost.
If you could have it in a home and be credible, you could use the $500 to create cheap bling, canapes, etc. Print out photos of fave actors. DO the self-made selfie booth, etc. Look at lots of Hollywood Red Carpet events and see how much you can model off those ideas.
this is a hard one as I have never been that into preforming arts but I did see a WII game.. and copied what it said ...........as follows....Dance on Broadway is the Wii dance game that puts YOU center stage performing some of the biggest Broadway hits right at home! Dance, sing, and act to hit songs from your favorite musical performances, like You Cant Stop the Beat, Fame, and Luck Be A Lady- just to name a few! Challenge up to four friends or family members for the starring role in 20 Broadway hits.
Take a couple of friends to Great Wolf Lodge for overnight (2 days, 1 night), if you live near one. It is great for every age. Or, you could check out children's hair salons. Many them have special arrangements for parties (limos pick up and return home), girls get special treatment, hair done and nails polished. If you live near a Painting with a Twist, you can have a party there.
Maybe you could ask her what she want for her birthday I'm not really into birthdays but I really like to shop...I'm turning 14 less than a week I really hope I can enjoy it
