I'm planning to invite about 6 girls to my birthday party this year, but I don't know what to do. I want the activities to be not too babyish, but also not too grown up-ish. I'm just afraid that they won't find my choice of games fun. I can't go anywhere like a theatre, pool, etc. It will just be at home. I also can't spend too much additional money on activities. Any suggestions on what I could do?

A spa party is fun. You can make face masks at home. Go to the dollar store for nail polish/emery boards and you can do manicures, too.
What do other kids do at parties? Even if their activities are out of your price range perhaps you can modify. Or how about asking every friend to plan 1 activity for the party that they think everyone would enjoy. Let them plan and execute it. You do need to know in advance to make sure their ideas are appropriate and also that there are no duplicates. Or, ask your friends to talk to your mom about this so you can be surprised!
if yall could parlay a common interest/obsession/hobby into a theme/activity based party that would be best
for instance, if you all are rabid fans of a specific celebrity or music group, you could have a fan club type party where say you all write him/them letters and then mail them. If you are all into saving the planet you can have your own eprsonal Earth Day, going out to clean up trash or creating signs.
the idea is to find something meaningful with activities attached and do them.
