Ok, so my 14th birthday is coming up, but my family doesn't have a lot of money. I was thinking about doing a dance thing and inviting a bunch of people, but it would cost over 500$ to rent a place. So I don't know what I want to do because I live in a small town, and we would have to travel to do anything.
The closest place with a good mall is 2 and a half hours away, and I went to the mall last year for my 13th. I want this birthday to be more special than my usual, just going to my house and playing games and spending the night. My birthday is January 26th so I can't really do anything outdoors.

If you have a WII or some dance DVDs, you can have a dance party at your house and everyone will love it. Give some good prizes and great food.
Totally do a house party. Music, food, karaoke, games :)
Birthdays are always special when you spend them with good friends, have your favorite foods, and make fun memories! You don't need to spend a lot of money or travel. If you want to do something different, do you have an animal shelter nearby? You could do something like having a shelter day where you and your friends walk dogs and help out.
