My 14th birthday is coming up soon and I don't know what to do. Boys and girls are coming and I don't want to do a disco, but I want to do something in the afternoon.

Well Jordan, given the limited information you've offered about details such as where the party is being held (home, bowling, skating, go cart/family rec, ski zone, lazer tag, etc.... or what type of home and yard area you have), how many kids are coming, and common crazes among you and your peers... I can offer you a few general ideas that always seem to be a hit. When everyone arrives, have ice breakers in place such as guessing how many things are in jars or other such competitive brain teasers... this gets the fun started and brings everyone together when you're ready to kick off the festivities. For games, you can have libs type things where you hand out a sheet of paper that has basic questions such as a girl name or boy name, a place, a number, an illness, etc... then have everyone turn them in and read the set story line out filling in the blanks, and see how rediculously funny it is. Have your parent make a scavenger hunt and the winners get to decide the fate of the loosers (have options already thought out).
Happy Early 14th Birthday! I would have never guessed you were given a disco party, but I wouldn't be into disco then or now too. There are many birthday options you could do.
For a unisex birthday you can go to the arcade, bowling alley, laser tag.
You could also throw a party at home, at a park, beach, lake - have a BBQ, movie night.
-have a beach party boys/girls
-have a movie party boys/girls
-have a spa party girls
-have a pool party boys/girls
