I'm turning 14 in April and I like to plan ahead for things like these! Things about me; I'm girly and I live by the sea and I'm like Cher from clueless!
This year I'm going shopping to Guildford, but I don't know what else to do, most people just have parties and get drunk, but I don't want anything like that! I was thinking of hiring out a venue, but I'm not sure yet? Any ideas?
Thank you tonnes.

I applaud your desire to have a good time without alcohol. Excellent. I do wonder at the cost of your parties; are your parents able to afford renting venues, restaurant meals, etc.? What about trying to do something fun that doesn't involve so much spending of money?
What about a scavenger hunt around the neighbourhood - collecting odd items (a red ribbon, a plastic fork, a napkin with the name of a restaurant on it, three sea shells, and so on), taking photos of yourselves with things or at places (with a man with a hat and mustache, at some local landmark, all sitting on a fence, etc. ), or perhaps filling out answers to questions about things.
In our town we have a series of historical murals that I used; people went from mural to mural answering questions on a sheet (stuff like how many women with red hats in one, how many games are the children playing in the school yard painting, etc.).
Perhaps you could set up a tournament of favorite board games. For food, what about a fondue party, backyard wiener roast or barbeque? These are occasions for you and your friends to get together and have fun; they should not be endless expense and a contest to outdo each other in extravagance.
