My birthday is in early July and I wanted to invite about 6-9 people. I only want to spend money on decorations and food because I recently had a big party and spent a lot of money. I've already went to a hotel, the lake, and the movies. I've also already had a hula and soccer themed party. I was thinking about going to the river where there's a rope swing and rock to jump off, it's very private and cheap, however it could be a little dangerous. There's glass from high school parties, and there's a small current. Other than that it could be very fun with music and food. Should I go for it? I can't find anything better.

You can have: Eighties karaoke party, if any of your friends have a machine.
A glow in the dark or black light party.
A fiesta or Hawaiian Luau party.
Movie night party
im not trying to be mean but im 14 and girls my age arent really into karaoke and people keep suggesting it. Everyone my age is really just too insecure to get up and sing lol
My birthday is also coming up and my 5 friends that are really close are coming over. I've got a big tent and we're going to sleep in my backyard! We will have some candy while watching a movie and then the next day I'm having a small proper party with a bit of cake and candy.
I wouldn't suggest doing the dangerous party. Probably nothing would happen, but if someone got cut and it got infected it would be no fun anymore and no one would remember anything about your birthday except the bad thing that happened.
Rather than the rope swing/swim, what about finding a lake, pool or state park to swim at? Still tons of fun, just no danger aspect. You could pack a fun Birthday Picnic with watermelon fruit salad, bbq hot dogs/hamburgers (and maybe sparklers if it's close to the 4th or for your cupcake/birthday cake).
