I'm turning 14 in July, but I don't know what to do. My mom mentioned a sleepover. She was thinking a unicorn theme or a Hawaiian theme, but I'm not sure what theme because I don't want it to be kiddy. We live near Stone Mountain so she said we could drive there and go canoeing and things. Does anyone have any tips or alternative ideas?

I think a water theme would be great. People can dress in swimsuits, and you can have all kinds of flavored waters as beverages.
Well, I recently throwed my daughter a bday party. She invited a few of her friends and had a sleepover and the next day had the bday party. I think a Hawaii theme would be great for 14 year old!
How about a tiki/luau theme instead of unicorn etc.. that would be super cool! Grass skirts and all.
I used to love sleepovers when I was 14. Themes are a little overrated--I think it should just be all about FUN and FRIENDSHIP and celebrating YOU!!!
If you like canoeing and outdoor activities I say go for it! Go for a few hours, then come home and have your favorite dinner or cookout food there and come home. Then have sleepover with gossip and giggling, then a pancake breakfast in the morning and everyone goes home. It sounds like fun!
If you aren't into the canoeing/hiking type activities, would you and your friends enjoy a photo scavenger hunt in your town?
So your mom could tell you and your group to find 10 photos of things (she would have to give you a list of 10 things that she knows you will see in this area--like a red sign, a fountain, a dog on a leash, etc. and the one who gets them all first and gets back to a central location (like a food court or a coffee shop gets a prize). Then have a nice lunch or dinner and either the sleepover or go home.
Enjoy your special day! You are only 14 once and it should be magical!! Blessings!!
