I'm turning 16 and I don't know what to do for my birthday. Any ideas?

It depends on your budget and your interests. Hopefully your friends share your interests.
Some ideas are
1. some sort of board game contest, or card games You might set up a tournament or similar with games like Trivial Pursuit or card games like Hearts.
2. If anyone in your group plays guitar, a music for a singalong always goes over well
3. a bonfire in your backyard
4. a scavenger hunt with a cool prize to whoever wins
5. a pizza party and ice cream sundaes
6. You can do the basic sweet 16. Rent out a venue or country club and get a theme, get a DJ, Photo booth, decorations, food catering, a cake, and a really great dress... You need a guest list, make invitations, etc. The whole 9 yards
If you are having all girls, you could have a spa party at home, which would be quite affordable.
If you have a lot of people or boys and girls, do something everyone will enjoy, like bowling or skating. Have burgers or pizza afterwards, with cake, of course.
