My 16th birthday is in September and I'm really stuck on ideas of what to do. I don't have a very large group of friends; there would probably only be 7 of us altogether (boys and girls). I don't want it to cost too much money, but I would like to have a good time :)

September is back to school time. Learn something new. Do something you and your friends have never done before.
Septembr is a fun time of year because it is the fall. If I were having a smallish gathering in September I would want to go out into the country and do some of those fun harvest things like
1) go on Groupon or somewhere and find a local farm that does fruit picking or berry picking - I think you pay $10 a bucket and go pick fruit, as much as you want - then you can go home and make pies
2) go to a corn maze
3) go on a hay ride
4) go to one of those county fairs that happen at around that time
Seven or eight makes a lovely party! Boys and girls both enjoy things like video games, movies, and food. Figure out the most favorite thing you like to do with your friends, add your favorite food including cake and ice cream or cupcakes and enjoy!!
If you really want to get fancy, you can try to have a cooking party where you compete against each other, like on the Food Network, either Iron Chef or Chopped (Google these and you can watch back episodes).
I love a good Chopped party, but we also do Iron Chef competitions in our house. I pick the "secret" ingredient and hubby cooks a full meal with it in all 3 courses.
No matter what you do, just have fun and enjoy!! 16 is a special birthday so you should make it all about what you love and enjoy!!
