Hi, I'm turning 17 in December and I'm pretty lost at what I should do. Things in my town are a bit expensive and I just would want something fun to do! I hate having my birthday in the winter because I can never do anything unless it's inside at a place I have to spend a crap ton of money on. Any ideas? I would be so grateful for some help.

If you will have snow, and enough of it, gather friends to have a snow fort or snowman-making contest. You can even color the snow quite cheaply, using water and either food coloring or drink mix (like Kool-Aid), mixed up in some squirt bottles such as ketchup, mustard, shampoo, conditioner, syrup, etc. You've got time to save them up for December. Just have fun outside for however long you like, then move indoors at your house for cake and ice cream, and some hot cocoa. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!
My granddaughter just had a birthday party. After pizza, the girls had a scavenger hunt at a cemetery. Since we live in a rural area, they then had smores around a campfire in the backyard.
That sounds like a fun spooky party. It would be great for closer to Halloween too.
Go sledding or skating, or maybe even just a winter hike. Finish it off with hot chocolate by a fire. In lieu of cupcakes, make a no-bake mini Yule log cake for the birthday celebration.
Make sweet snowman creation competition. Let party guests make snowmen using large marshmallows, pretzel sticks for arms, miniature peanut butter cups and cookies for hats, and licorice pieces for faces. Come up with prizes for all guests, for example, for speed of construction, a separate prize for creativity, for the biggest snowman, etc.
The main thing is to gather all your best friends and enjoy your birthday party.
If you enjoy skating, you can meet at an outdoor rink. You have to keep in mind that Covid is still a very real threat and there may be limitations on where you can go and how many people can be there.
