Whatever you do, dont have alcohol. If you are too young to drink and there is a problem, your parents can be held responsible. There are many ways to have fun without alcohol, such as movies, eating , dancing and movies.
Unless you are in a place in Europe where you are at 17 permitted to have one glass of an alcoholic beverage in a restaurant and you are planning to have your party in such an establishment (with an adult present if the law requires it), I strongly suggest you do not mix alcohol into your party plans.
Sadly, you cannot fix or change your friend's behavior. You can only control your behavior and your actions.
You have the power to be and act how you want and I pray that you will develop the strength to make healthy choices and take healthy paths in your life. I also pray that you may find the strength to talk to an adult you trust to see how you can get professional help for your friends so they can learn how to make healthy decisions.
That all said, your birthday is all about you, so find something you like to do and celebrate it. If you like movies...go to the movies with a few close friends. Or a baseball game, or a zoo. If you like to cook, through a party like the TV show Chopped or Iron Chef and have a cook off. If you are into clothes and makeup, throw a party where you do makeovers. Find something you love and enjoy yourself!
I wish you many, many, many health, strong and self empowering birthdays to come! I have every faith that you have it in your heart to make the right and safe decisions! Be strong!! It isn't easy, but it is powerful!
If they are heavy drinkers and you are not, throw the party during the afternoon out somewhere so it doesn't turn into a night booze fest. It's going to be your day, so bring in things you like. A big group outing to a festival might be nice.
