My nephew is turning two on Feb. 18th and his party is on Feb. 21. What are good gift ideas for a 2 year old?

I'm trying to think of a 2 yr old's development stage.
The first idea was the Playschool work bench with the hammer, wrench and screwdriver, but I'm thinking that is a bit older. Second idea was the interactive reach and play toy that you put over the child while they are laying down, but I'm thinking that is younger. Get a small blow up beach ball. That's pretty age safe and gives the child an interactive toy. (01/23/2010)

Books are always welcomed and provide for quiet time with adults and caregivers. There are Cheerio's books out now that allow a child to put the circles in the middle of wheels and other everyday things. My granddaughter loves these books and it teaches skills! (01/27/2010)

I have a cousin who lives in Lewistown. Anyway, my advise is to give a gift that doesn't have a lot of pieces. 2 year olds don't keep pieces together. Maybe a truck or bath tub toys. My daughter will be 2 in April and she loves her Magnadoodle. These gifts are also good if your shopping on a budget. (01/28/2010)
