Does anyone have any theme ideas or ideas in general for my 30th birthday party? Nothing over the hill. This is a celebration. :)

Think of somewhere you like or would like to go and use that for the theme. I also use hobbies as themes. (04/14/2005)

Last year I had a party for my husband's 30th. We had a Mexican food theme (burritos, tacos, chips and salsa, etc.) and for fun had a pinata. Everyone loved hitting the pinata - it was sort of a "kid at heart" kind of thing. It was a great time. (04/15/2005)

For my husband's 30th last year we had a video scavenger hunt party. Everyone who came was put into teams and they had to take videos or pictures of things on a list. The items on the list all had to do with either the number 30 (i.e. find 30 coins, a sign with the number 30 on it) or things from my husband's past thrity years (i.e. a picture of the place where he had his first job, someone had to sing a song that was on the charts the year he was born, a picture of his first school, act out a scene from one of the top movies the year he was born).

Find that persons interest or hobby that they like the most. Try to make a theme out of it. Like my husband loves motorcycles. The party theme for his birthday is a motorcycle theme. (06/07/2005)

I am throwing a 30th birthday party for my big sister, and what I did was make flyers and give one to evey person she knows (printed myself, and saved alot of money). The best part is she happened to be off on a buisness meeting until the afternoon of her birthday, so her 3 kids, my other sister and I set up one hell of a surprise party for her! But not everyone gets that lucky in thei planning! It was great because we did not have to sneak around trying to plan things!! Because she was 120 miles away! (09/18/2006)

What about "wigs"? It's easy and people who hate fancy dress still can do it without much effort and it can be very amusing! (11/26/2006)

I got pictures from when my boyfriend was little till now and had them made into buttons (badges) everybody had to wear them at the party then got to take them home as a souvinier. I also hot glued 1 30 confetti to each of them and found confetti with his name and glued his name on as well. (03/05/2007)
