I made a paper cup toy to entertain my youngest child. I thought the 4th of July would be a nice subject for this art since it is already fast approaching.
Supplies:
- 3 paper cups
- 2 rubber bands
- construction paper
- paint and paintbrush or any coloring material of your choice
- scissors
- tape or hot glue

Steps:
- Take one paper cup and paint it with your preferred design. I painted mine with red, white and blue stripes for the 4th of July theme.

- Cut a strip of construction paper and form it into a cone.

- Position the cup upside down and place the cone on top.

- I added some details, I painted it with blue and added some white stars. Make sure to stick it with glue or tape so it won't fall.

- Take another cup and insert it into the main cup to add stability.
- Make four holes in equal distance.

- Cut the rubber bands. Insert it into the holes end to end. It should look like this. (See photo)

- Staple them to secure and keep it tight.

- Take another piece of cup and press it down. Hold and release to make the rocket fly.

Note:
- The tighter the rubber bands the higher it will go.
