I have an 8 month old Staffie bitch. I have had her two weeks now and she still keeps weeing on my hall carpet. When she does it I will shout at her and put her outside. It's getting me down now because she's not learning. What shall I do?

She may not be learning because you are not teaching. You express your frustration with her. That is not teaching. Teaching requires patience and knowledge of dog psychology. I recommend looking at several methods that you can find on this site. Pick the one that seems reasonable to you. Develop some patience. An 8 week old dog is rarely potty trained. It can take a couple months of patient, careful training. If the thought of that leaves you feeling frustrated, consider rehoming this puppy. Yelling at a puppy frightens it. When it is frightened it cannot learn from you.
