Bronze Feedback Medal for All Time! 158 Feedbacks These cookies/candy have an unusual list of ingredients but they are so good. I've made them with just pretzels or just chow mein noodles. Today, I had a little of both leftover and threw 'em all in. You can really add whatever you might like in there. It's a great way to use up all those odds and ends. Plus, it tastes good, too!
Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: about 12, depending on the size.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips, any type. I used white chocolate chips today.
- 1 Tbsp shortening
- 1 cup broken up pretzels
- 1/2 cup chow mein noodles
- 1/3 cup peanuts
- 1/4 cup raisins, cranberries or whatever you like. I used a variety pack from Trader Joe's. It contains golden raisins, cherries, blueberries and cranberries.
Steps:
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave. Start out by heating for 30 seconds, stir, then heat another 20 seconds or so. If needed, heat a little longer. Stir til smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Stir til everything is covered in that lovely chocolate.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
- Use the end of your spoon to make sure it all stays together.
- Let cool and enjoy!
