One of the best ways to get rid of stains like this is with a clean cloth and a hot iron. You place the cloth over the stain and start to iron over the top of the cloth. This should help to remove the stain from the table. it can take several minutes to get this one done. Do not allow the iron to sit in one place on the table top and keep it moving around. Then apply some furniture oil to the top of the table.
