I made the homemade laundry detergent last week and was wanting to add the scented oil to have it smell good. I am not sure which scented oil to add and am worried it may get oil on my clothes.

I make homemade liquid laundry detergent and add 100% essential oils. Just put 15-20 drops in your detergent (gallon jug) and shake really good. It will not get on your clothes. 100% essential oils are safe even safe enough to ingest. Good luck
While Essentl Oils (EO) i quit safe to include in laundry detergent, just a word of warning: Whereas EOs are safe to ingest, it is a matter of dilution. EO's are highly concentrated and most times only one or two drops are used. If misused, they can be extremely toxic. If you're going to use EO's be sure to research the use of the EO you are using. There are many resources to check this out. Here is one that easily explains the usage and safety with an FDA list of safe EO's at the end.
