When I was younger I was a tiny child. As I grew older, teenage years, I started gaining weight. I took up karate and never lost a pound. When I was 19 I found out I had PCOS. That's when I was told that it would be hard for me to lose weight. So I became determined. I cut out all but 20 carbs a day and lost a lot of weight. I ended up pregnant. I don't regret that. It's been 12 years and no matter how many carbs I cut out I can't lose the weight.
Before I get hate, please know I go to the gym 5 times a week and I eat clean. I only drink water and on rare occasions a Monster Zero. What am I doing wrong? I am on Metformin for the PCOS. I don't want to lose weight so I can have more kids. I'm too old for that, lol. I just want to lose the weight and be healthier for myself and my family. Any and all help is appreciated.

This is definitely a question for your doctor. PCOS is a rough illness yes, it definitely affects how people lose/gain weight.
Everyone is different and without knowing your entire medical history, I would not give (NOR SHOULD YOU TAKE) any online advice on what to do.
Seriously.
There are just to many variables and if you have other things going on, like Thyroid issues or auto immune diseases, you could end up having all kinds of other issues if you followed something told you worked for them.
Once you get a full work up and plan from your doctor, you may want to join a PCOS support group and find some buddies who you can reach out to for support (NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, BUT EMOTIONAL SUPPORT).
There are many out there including those on Facebook.
I feel for you..many years ago, I was worked up for extensively for PCOS and it was finally decided I did not have it, but they never figured out what my problem was. At least you have a diagnosis. Sometimes that in itself is half the battle!
I will send up many prayers for you for positive solutions!! Post back with updates!
You need a doctor to check your hormone levels. If you are out of balance that may be why you cannot lose weight.
These are questions for a Doctor! There may be some under lying problem that is doing this to you. And after all of these years, please get the right answer from a professional!
I recently was told that I need knee replacement surgery in both knees. The surgeon said he would not do the surgery until I lost 25 lbs. I agreed. He did give me a diet that he said he gives all of his patients that need to lose weight and it seems to be working as long as you do it right.
Tips for all 12 weeks-
You can pretty much eat anything as long as it's not processed during the first 6 adding small amounts of processed (or none) the second 6
I'm on my third week and it is not as hard as I thought it would be. I cannot exercise so it is coming off slow currently at 6 lbs which is 2 lbs per week
Good Luck
Along with this program I am using MyFitnessPal to help me keep an eye on calories
My adopted daughter is a nurse and she has been fighting this issue for years. You are doing everything right and nothing wrong. I would actually talk with your doctor and see if there is anything they can give you to help with this issue. There might be another drug you can take to replace the one you are taking now. It seems like you have been taking this drug for a long time and you have lost weight on it before. After having a child your body changes and maybe it is time to change the drug they are giving you.
It sounds like you are doing everything you possibly can and it's a hormonal imbalance. I'd ask the doctor for sure.
I do not know your body type, but I suggest you research Cushings Syndrome, and Cushings Disease. Do any of the symptoms fit?
