I have this black baby doll that I found in my aunt's cedar chest many years ago. Over time the coating as peeled, but she is still wearing the dress we found her in. Any clues?

May be difficult to find information on your doll. You can search online for possible information, contact doll collectors who may have experience with older dolls, consider large old libraries that may have old books on the subject, etc.
