I have this antique pie safe that I bought from a garage sale. The lady had no idea when it was exactly made, but she said it was probably earlier 1900s or late 1800s. There isn't anything wrong or broken with it and it's very sturdy minus a few chips in the wood.

I was wondering if you learned anything about your pie safes origin. I just inherited one that is identical. It was my grandmothers. It was in our home my entire life. Im 59. Located in eastern NC. She was born here and lived here her entire life.
Pinetown, I also grew up in eastern NC and have the same pie safe and matching "hutch" from my grandmother. It was in her house as long as I can remember and I am 56. From what I was told, they were both used when she got them. I would like to know more about them.
