The Bassett company has been in business for years and the value of the furniture seems to hold its price. A lot of people sell this furniture online and normally will start an asking price of around 250-500 dollars for such a piece. It would be nice to really see the numbering on the back of the mirror and even the dresser. What you are describing I can not find. Most of the time to help date a piece of furniture it should have a number on it such as this image here: www.myantiquefurniturecollection.../.../value-of-antique-bassett-dresser.... This would really help in dating this dresser for you. There is also a lot of history on the Bassett furniture company and I can supply you with a link so you can read up on this. www.bassettfurniture.com/

Your piece is after 1931 which is when it started being called Bassett Furniture Industries Incorporated.

I would say by the handles and design (frameless mirrors were a fad at one point), it is probably late 1950s, early 1960s. I have a night stand that I believe to be from this set and it was from 1957 when the people who gave it to me got married).

I have lost the name of the style of pull...its not art deco exactly (which was more ornate) it is usually referred to as mid century modern--but that is not the name I am looking for either...ugh...bad brain day...

Unfortunately in many places this style (because of the frameless mirror mostly) has not stayed popular. I have seen them go for a s little as $25 and as much $200.

The handles may fetch you $25 alone though! People love the handles and if I could remember the name of the style, I could tell you some recent selling prices. I will try to remember the name...

If you are asking to sell, start high and take best offer.

Know one knows more than the maker, Bassett Furniture. They have a link that you can send your pictures and ask questions on your piece. In return they can tell you type of style , when it was produced and value.
