We have an older 80s model Palomino and the weight of the a/c is making the roof bow because of earlier leaks which are now fixed. We have used pieces of channel steel with lag bolts on top around the a/c to try to suck it up, but it still seems to be bowing, not to mention the roof is leaking now and the interior paneling is water logged in places.
Is there anything that anyone can think of a fix it? Obviously looks are not important we only use it to take the kids to the river a few times a year. Any tips or strategies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and blue skies!

There are several good blogs and information on the internet for RV roof repair. You can read the advice and follow the instructions that others have posted. However, before doing much you will need to get the water out of the roof and dry it out. You can find some excellent DIY guides here:
Try your question at RV.net, Forums and scroll down to your type of RV. Just ask the question and someone (or several) will respond. Excellent for any repair question.
