Can anyone tell me what this equipment was used for and its age? My guess is a harrow or plow.

It looks like a two-wheeled cultivator. It would have been used after plowing an area, to further break apart clods of soil to make ready for planting. It would also be used to knock down weeds and aerate the soil surface around a planted crop. In essence...an old fashion garden tiller that breaks up the soil and also weeds around growing plants - if planted for the spacing of the curved tines. Also, that long handle/rod is for adjusting the digging depth into the ground.
Definitely a cultivator that could have been pulled by a mule/horse or a tractor.
Farmers usually used one piece of equipment to do several different jobs.

It looks like a machine to loosen up soil and make rows for planting.
