Apple Mix:
Icing:
Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten eggs, and then stir in lightly sifted flour, cornflour and baking powder. Using tray which has been greased or lined with baking paper, spread 1/2 mixture into prepared tin. Cover with apple mixture which has been previously prepared and mixed together. Top with remainder of cake mixture, spreading with a knife (dipped in hot water if necessary to make easy to spread). Bake 20-30 minutes in moderate oven (350 degrees F). When cool, ice with icing which has been flavoured with the lemon juice. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cut into squares to serve. Can serve with a scoop or cream or ice cream if having as dessert. Yummy!

What size tray do you use? Can I use a 13X9X2 baking pan and use the same time?
It sounds so good, but I too, would like to know what size pan. It doesn't seem like there are enough ingredients for a l3 x 9" pan. Thanks for sharing.
