Add boiling water to gelatin, then the 2 cups apricot nectar. Let cool awhile. Then add marshmallows and pecans; let set until firm.
Combine sugar, salt, flour, egg, and 1 cup apricot nectar. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and cool completely.
Add Cool Whip and spread over jellied mixture.
